half day motorcycle tours guatemala

On the first part of this 70 km tour around Antigua you will get familiar with your Royal Enfield and enjoy the ride on rollercoaster-like Ruta Nacional 14 to San Antonio Aguas Calientes and Pastores. The first village is famous for its indigenous weavers and the second for the artisanal manufacturing of boots, bags and other leather goods.

The second half of the tour will take you to Antigua's surrounding mountain villages, from where you will enjoy some breathtaking views of Antigua and the volcanoes Agua, Acatenango and Fuego.

Before the well deserved coffee break at Filadelfia Coffee Resort, we will pay a visit to Cerro de La Cruz, Antigua's most famous overlook. Sweeping views over the city with Agua Volcano towering in the background make this one of Antigua's most visited attractions.

If you have any special interests we'll do our best to integrate them into this exciting 4 hour tour on classic wheels.

The trip around the twin volcanoes Acatenango and Fuego is arguably one of the most scenic routes in Guatemala. If you want to experience the incredible climatic and natural diversity of this country in a nutshell, this five hour tour is for you.

The first part of the tour is a gentle descent from Antigua through Boca Costa to the hot climate of the Pacific coast. Palm trees, tropical plants in all shapes and colors and people in shorts and flip-flops gradually dominate the scenery.

From the busy village of Santa LucĂa, the road starts gaining altitude again through sugar cane fields, while traffic disappears completely. The air gets fresher with every mile you snake up the mountain curve after curve towards San Pedro Yepocapa. Before you know it, Acatenango is right there in front of you, so close that you can almost touch this dormant giant.

This is the natural habitat of the Royal Enfield. Now it's just you, nature and the relaxing thump of the Classic 500, all the way to the highest point at 6500 ft. The view up here is spectacular and on a clear day you can even see the distant volcanoes of Lake Atitlan.

But you're not home yet, Antigua is another hour of seemingly endless twisties away and the rest of the tour is just as exciting as the first part.
